Felt Book

Today I had a go at making a Felt Album with pics of my gorgeous dog Mia, it was alot of fun making the album from scratch and although it was a bit fidley good practice using blanket stitch around the outside

I used a selection of patterned paper and buttons to finish the felt book and lettering from my stash and ribbon and lace edging and a diecut felt heart  for the cover :)

Cool Tool: Fiskars Spring Action Microtip Scissors

I brought a pair of these today OMG amazing perfect for people who have difficulty using normal scissors  these scissors are really good  for detail cutting (see my last post).  The spring action design gently opens after every cut allowing you to cut through various materials with ease.
Excellent for cutting: fabric, felt, string, paper, construction paper, light cardboard and many other materials.
  • Micro-Tip blades - Provides a sharp, durable cutting edge with a fine tip for detail cutting
  • Comfort handles - Provides added comfort and control
  • Easy-action spring - Reduces hand fatigue by gently opening blades
  • Safety lock - Keeps blades closed tight for safe storage
